Partnership will give participating accelerator companies access to Intel products, hardware and mentorship

R/GA Ventures Announces Multi-Accelerator Collaboration with Intel

R/GA has announced an ongoing collaboration with Intel® in support of R/GA Ventures-led Accelerator Programs. This includes access by participating accelerator companies to Intel’s products, hardware library of devices, IoT technologies, and mentorship from their broad range of capabilities and expertise.

Intel has supported two R/GA Accelerator programs to date: the IoT-focused R/GA Accelerator and the LA Dodgers Accelerator with R/GA.

During the course of the LA Dodgers Accelerator with R/GA, experts at Intel worked closely with participating startups on a range of business planning and technology optimisations, allowing them to explore a wide range of Intel offerings which could help them move from prototyping and exploration to product deployments. Experienced Intel innovation managers held office-hours, provided access to hardware kits for the tiny Edison™ module, Basis Peak™ Smartwatches, software tools and testing, and new product prototyping. The program concluded Tuesday November 10th at an invite-only demo day for industry leaders, partner organisations, investors, and press at Dodger Stadium.

This week, Intel Capital announced new investments in 10 startups, totalling $22 million. Two of the 10 companies are graduates of the R/GA Accelerator – LISNR, creator of Smart Tones, a new communication protocol that sends data over audio using a high-frequency, inaudible technology, and Chargifi, a wireless charging network using power as a platform for enhancing people’s everyday experiences. Both companies worked closely with Intel during the R/GA Accelerator, and the funding is a direct result of the fruits of this joint work.
