R/GA San Francisco has announced the promotion of Yael Cesarkas from group strategy director to executive strategy director and the hiring of managing director, client services, Cara Watson. Both will become members of the office’s executive leadership team, which is expanding to account for several new client wins, including Airbnb, Slack, Fair, and January.AI.
“Yael and Cara bring an insanely sharp approach to their practices, with an entrepreneurial style that allows them to pivot at speed. We are lucky to have them and I’m thrilled to welcome them to my leadership team,” said R/GA San Francisco's SVP managing director David Corns. “Their unique backgrounds and perspectives will build upon the momentum we are seeing at R/GA San Francisco as we focus on helping to transform new economy brands.”
A marketing and digital strategy innovator, Yael worked at R/GA New York before moving to R/GA San Francisco in 2017. Yael has overseen strategy for Google, eBay, Coty, Samsung, L’Oreal, Johnson & Johnson, and has most recently worked with Airbnb at R/GA. In her elevated role, Yael will work with brands to find white spaces and uncover key insights to fully transform categories.
Cara joins R/GA San Francisco from Venables Bell & Partners where she led the Audi account. She brings a diverse set of management skills and a track record in brand development and growth for companies like Taco Bell, Cisco, Mitsubishi, Pizza Hut and Oreo. In her new role, she will lead R/GA San Francisco’s client services team as well as manage the Google relationship.
