Agencies rolls out a new regional model across its UK & German offices

R/GA is promoting its UK SVP managing director, Rebecca Bezzina, to CEO, EMEA, and her creative partner in the UK, Nick Pringle, to chief creative officer EMEA. Rebecca and Nick will be responsible for leadership of R/GA’s two main offices in Europe, the UK and Germany, as well as continued focus on the Middle East. As part of the new EMEA restructuring, R/GA also confirms the departure of David Toma, managing director of R/GA Berlin, who is leaving to pursue new opportunities outside of R/GA.

In Q4 2022, R/GA introduced its new global ‘distributed creativity’ model. This change allowed the agency to move away from a traditional focus on offices as focal points for clients and leadership, and also broadened the opportunities in how it recruits and retains the best talent. While both the UK and Germany offices will still have their primary clients, this new EMEA model enables the ability to utilise talent across offices, and capabilities, to continue creating ground-breaking work.

Having been at R/GA for 10 years, Rebecca Bezzina brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having previously led R/GA’s operations in Australia. Prior to joining the UK office, Nick Pringle spent three years as R/GA New York’s vice-president, executive creative director, leading work for Samsung, Mercedes-Benz and Shopify. Rebecca and Nick have overseen a string of new client wins in London, while the agency has delivered some of the most awarded work in the industry for Nike and Google—including picking up a Cannes Lions Grand Prix in 2022. And since opening its German office in Berlin in 2017, R/GA has created some of the most innovative design and communications work for clients in Germany such as Siemens, E.ON and Google.

“Moving our executive leadership and operations in EMEA under the distributed creativity regional model means greater access to talent, while also giving our people more opportunities to work collaboratively and creatively within a global company.” said Robin Forbes, global CEO R/GA “We’re excited to see Rebecca and Nick lead this new chapter for our UK and Germany teams.”

“There is so much opportunity in the EMEA region to do world-class work, and the United Kingdom and Germany act as great hubs for us to attract the best talent. We believe these changes will better enable us to partner with our clients in the region to continue to drive innovation and do work at the intersections of technology, culture and design” said Rebecca Bezzina,CEO, EMEA .
