R/GA London have designed the new
GHD Hair website to act as a leading online source of hair inspiration for both consumers and UK hair stylists. The new site allows users to showcase their work, create mood boards for clients and even find models and photographers – reinforcing GHD as the brand for stylists, by stylists.
Traditionally the relationship between stylist and client has been an analogue experience, with discussions around hair styling largely still based around magazine cut-outs. R/GA London and GHD wanted to take these interactions online, for the first time, by developing a digital experience that acted as homage to stylists and salons, with the design concept reminiscent of a hair magazine – right down to the navigation which looks like a spine wrapper.
In essence what we’ve concepted and designed is a new and innovative online community for UK hair stylists, as well as a site for GHD customers.
