R/GA London is pleased to announce that Nicole Armstrong has re-joined the agency to lead its strategy department, as the agency’s new executive strategy director. In her new role, Nicole will be responsible for building a department of diverse talent, and shaping the agency’s strategic thinking to help further drive transformational, human-centric design led work for its clients. Nicole joins R/GA from luxury shoe label Nicholas Kirkwood, where she held the role of CMO, having previously spent just under four years at R/GA London as group strategy director. She will report to Rebecca Bezzina, SVP managing director, R/GA London.
As a senior collaborative and strategic partner for clients, Nicole will play a key role driving R/GA’s company vision of helping design brands and business for a more human future. And at a time when businesses are having to fundamentally re-evaluate how to earn the attention of their audience and serve their customers in a more remote way, she will be responsible for growing an eclectic team of progressive problem solvers that will help clients see their future and act on it through impactful digital innovation.
“I’m delighted that Nicole is joining the senior leadership team in what is one of the most important positions in the agency.” Said Rebecca Bezzina, SVP managing director R/GA London. “She’s an exceptional strategic leader, with a proven track record of delivering transformative solutions for clients that play at the intersection of bold ambition, creativity and human truths”.
“Throughout my career, I’ve always had a passion for combining digital design thinking, traditional brand planning and business consulting skills to create strategies that ignite culturally disruptive ideas.” said Niocle Armstrong, executive strategy director, R/GA London “And there really is no better place to be able to realise that ambition than R/GA. I’m thrilled to be back and to be given the opportunity to lead this incredible department of whip-smart and innovative marketers”.
Nicole joins R/GA from Nicholas Kirkwood, where she held the role of CMO, creating its first marketing department and helping to reimagine its e-commerce and omnichannel presence. Prior to this, Nicole spent just under four years at R/GA London as group strategy director. During her previous time at R/GA London she was responsible for the growth of the agency’s portfolio of luxury brand clients, leading the successful pitches and subsequent strategic visions for the Givenchy, LVMH and Rimowa accounts. She was also the strategic lead on R/GA clients including Nike, Google and IKEA, and was one of the founding members of R/GA’s WomanUp initiative. Before joining R/GA, Nicole was strategy director at M&C Saatchi London, where she was the lead strategist for the team who created The House of Peroni which has been rolled out globally and running for almost 10 years.
