Return of the Mac: Apple’s ‘Underdogs’ Are Back

The fourth instalment of Apple’s ‘Underdogs’ content series sees our beloved bunch of business buddies on an adventure once again. This time, Bridget and the gang chase after a pair of bumbling thieves who have stolen her MacBook Air. The crew use all of Apple’s security features to help track them down and stop the sale of the Mac - all the while, showcasing a whole host of the tech company’s other products and features.

From encryption to the Apple Watch’s fitness app, the comedic and action-packed eight minutes are full to the brim with laughs, nail-biting intensity and all of the tools at the disposal of Apple faithful. Directed by Smuggler’s Mark Molloy, the film shows how each of the devices and services interlinks to keep your Mac, iPhone and information safe.

Created internally at Apple, the latest addition to the series is a criminal caper that will make cinematic directors blush, winding the frantic but charming tale and its vibrant characters through a series of urban American locations - office buildings, pawn shops, flea markets and more. 

Prevented by Apple’s security software, the motorbike-riding laptop looters fail to sell the Mac, eventually being found by the ‘Underdogs’, who retrieve the Mac - and with it, their important presentation.

Even before its release, this thriller had high expectations to meet, as the previous film in the series, ‘Escape from the Office’ won a Grand Prix in the Film category at Cannes Lions in 2022. Fortunately, this entry continues with the series’ ever-increasing ambition, expanding the lore and love behind the ‘underdogs’ in a way that makes you forget it’s trying to sell you anything.
