Meg Welch appointed to chief marketer role to bolster agency's growth and brand awareness

Rebel & Co, a research and strategy agency redefining how companies navigate opportunity and uncertainty, today announced it has hired Meg Welch as its first chief marketing officer. Meg is the most recent addition to the two-year-old Tampa Bay-area firm, which comprises a 100% female leadership team.

Meg brings over a decade of experience in marketing strategy, business development and leading successful teams to Rebel. In this new role, she will be responsible for driving sustainable and profitable growth, highly personalised customer experiences, and leading creative, brand, and communication strategies.

“Meg is an agile and talented marketing leader with a strong background in brand and business growth. We couldn’t be more excited to have her join our team,” said Leah Hacker, founder and CEO at Rebel. “Her experience working with high-growth, fast-paced entrepreneurial organizations will play an instrumental role in our next phase of growth.”

With deep experience fueling business growth and building relationships, Meg joins Rebel from AgAmerica Lending—one of the largest, non-bank agricultural lenders in the US for farmers, ranchers, and landowners, where she was chief marketing and strategy officer. Before AgAmerica, she served as executive director of Catapult Lakeland, an entrepreneurial center in the heart of Lakeland, FL that aims to fuel the growth of startups by providing access to education, funding, and community. In 2019, she was recognized as one of the Top 40 Under 40 by the Tampa Bay Business Journal

“Rebel’s approach to solving complex business challenges for some of the world’s largest and most ambitious companies is best-in-class,” said Meg. “I’m looking forward to this next season of tremendous growth for Rebel & Co.”
