The Emmy Award-winner signs to a roster of notable storytellers

L.A.-based production company Wondros signs Emmy Award-winning director Ray Dillman for U.S. commercial representation.  Known for his interpersonal storytelling style and bold visual design and imagery, Dillman’s commercial work includes emotionally resonant spots for AllState, the U.S. Army, American Airlines, PGA, Coca-Cola, Bank of America, Home Depot, Zales Jewelers and many others.

Wondros CCO, Anne-Marie Mackay, said: “Ray brings with him a wealth of experience and an impeccable career record.  He is a gentleman director with an exceptional vision who both compliments and enriches our story telling collective.”

Dillman added: “Wondros, for me, was the perfect fit; a select roster of well-regarded, consummate filmmakers, overseen and encouraged by passionately involved, artistic leadership. I was instantly drawn to their creative collective vision.”

Recently, Dillman diversified his storytelling career by penning two scripts he’s slated to direct. The first is an adaptation of New York Times best selling author Amy Bloom’s short story quartet ‘William and Clare’, to be realized as a festival circuit short. The screenplay ‘Unmanned Warfare’ will be developed into a full-length feature.

Dillman began his career as an Art Director and Associate Creative Director on the agency side. After graduating from the prestigious Ringling School of Art and Design, Dillman worked in the Tampa Bay ad market, winning accolades from The New York Art Director’s Club, The National Addy Awards and the The National Obie Awards, among others.  Rising to a Creative Director post, he worked on national and international accounts at Leo Burnett, culminating in a position as an international creative troubleshooter on Philip Morris, working on global assignments from Tokyo to Marrakech. He then struck out to pursue directing on the west coast.

Dillman’s award-winning commercials work includes an Emmy for ‘Outstanding Commercial’ for his work on the Snap.com spot ‘New Friend’ out of NBC On-Air Promotions.
