RAPP UK Grows Experience Strategy Offer with Key Appointment and Promotions

Caroline Parkes is promoted to CSO, alongside appointment of Jonathan Lemze as new head of social strategy and promotion of Jon Pollard to head of strategy

RAPP UK has bolstered its Strategy team with the appointment of Jonathan Lemze as head of social strategy and promotion of Jon Pollard to head of strategy. Both will report into Caroline Parkes who has been promoted to the role of UK chief strategy officer - she will continue to report into Shiona McDougall, RAPP’s global chief strategy officer.

RAPP boasts one of the largest strategy departments of any UK agency with 50 specialists across diversity strategy, social and content, UX, brand and CRM. 

Jonathan Lemze joins the team to show what social looks like in an agency that stands up for individuality. He will focus on growing clients with and without existing social footprints, as well as creating a strong sense of purpose within the social strategy community. RAPP currently delivers social and influencer marketing for clients including Samsung, IKEA, BBC and Virgin Media 02.

Jonathan joins from Havas Blink where he was head of strategy, having also had stints at Starcom and Digitas and prior to this a number of journalistic roles based in Israel.  

Along with Jonathan’s appointment, Jon Pollard has been promoted to head of strategy. He is tasked with supercharging the opportunities to fuse strategy with one of the biggest marketing science and technology capabilities of any UK agency. Jon’s expertise in digital transformation, as well as pushing the team to deliver ground- breaking and effective work, has resulted in his being promoted to this important new role.

As chief strategy officer, Caroline’s role will be to inspire her team to create customer experiences that fuse creativity, data and tech capability to build brands. On the growing team, Caroline, said, “I am proud to be leading an amazing kaleidoscope of strategists who are all constantly pushing for better work and creating ever more inventive customer experiences. I believe that brands are created from a million different customer touchpoints, so really understanding how brands work, a focus on creativity and the possibilities of data and technology, is super exciting for me and exactly in my sweet spot!”
