RAPP Promotes Adrian Whatman & Andy Brown to Top Design Roles

Jason Andrews, executive creative director of RAPP, is delighted to announce that he has strengthened the agency's design department with two senior appointments. Adrian Whatman has been promoted to Creative Director of design and Andy Brown has been promoted to associate creative director, design.

Whatman has been promoted from the role of design director, which he has held since he joined RAPP from Elvis in 2007

In his new role he will be responsible for leading RAPP in the area of Experience Design. He will be responsible for ensuring that the agency's studio output delivers against RAPP's poposition to deliver joined-up customer experience to consumers at every touchpoint with which consumers interact with a brand

Whatmans promotion reflects his leadership of the design department over the past seven years, during which time it has expanded into areas such as Motion Graphics, UX, 3D Design and digital best practice. He has also spearheaded several pro-active initiatives such as RAPP's Design Fusion workshops and the global RAPP Design Network - a forum for exchange of ideas across the RAPP world.

Brown was previously head of design for Virgin Media. Brown was key in implementing the new Virgin Media Brand in collaboration with Wolff Olins. How as associate creative director of design, Brown's responsibilities will expand to oversee the agency's entire studio output on all accounts. He will continue to be heavily involved in the Virgin Media business and continue to report directly to Whatman

Jason Andrews, executive creative director, RAPP said: "The role that design plays in the experience that customers have when interacting with a brand cannot be underestimated. Ade and Andy are pioneering this ethos in the design department to reflect its importance. Their new job titles also reflect my ambition to keep the entire creative department working as a collaborative, integrated unit."
