Joining Concord Recorded Music during a nationwide lockdown gave me the perfect opportunity to get to know the eclectic repertoire from our family of labels in more depth. Having discovered all sorts of weird and wonderful tracks, I decided to theme this playlist around songs that I’ve discovered that could be interpreted differently to what may have been intended.

Whether it is the lyrics, tempo, or instrumentation, something about these tracks could spark conversation into their various meanings. Ethereal or eerie, sensual or sinister, heart-breaking or hopeful – take a listen and decide for yourself.
