Radio LBB: A Soviet Science Festival

In the absence of any festivals this summer, I started to put some tracks into a playlist for what would be something like my dream festival. In the process of piecing together my imaginary line up I started to think it might have some things going for it... 

First amongst the pros is the ability to stretch reality - I can dream that Cocteau Twins could get back together, OutKast might give us another crack or Prince and Gil Scott Heron perform from beyond the grave; that not only all of my favourite bands new and old are playing with no schedule clashes but that they all play my favourite tunes too. All of this in combination with no warm beer, sleeping in your own bed and not worrying about the weather for weeks before... 

For a second you might be able to convince yourself you were better off but we all know the reality is that closing your eyes and pretending can't ever really match-up to the unhinged joy of a weekend in a field dancing and singing along to music you love with your mates. 

We'll be waiting for a year before the chance comes round again, so in the meantime, you might have to close your eyes and pretend - I've tried to cover everything from headliners to guilty pleasures, throwbacks to new stuff and openers to late night...
