Standard Music Library started life 50 years ago in 1968 as a collaboration between Bucks Music Group and London Weekend Television. As well as being a rich source of archive music from the LWT days including famous themes for programmes such as Catweazle and Budgie, it has over the years become home to pioneers such as Delia Derbyshire & Brian Hodgson, Ron Grainer, George Martin, Brian Eno and Matthew Herbert. Standard continues to work with musicians who have that little special something.
We curated an eclectic playlist of some our favourite music on Standard, from the early '70s to the present day, including the award-winning tracks, ‘I Smell A Rat’ and ‘Blue’.
