Beatrice joins for commercial, branded content and music video representation

RadicalMedia, an award-winning fully integrated global media and communications company, has signed the acclaimed French-Australian writer and director, Beatrice Pegard to their iconic roster of directors for US representation spanning commercials, branded content, and music videos.

Beatrice has always been drawn to the interplay between science and art, a unique combination that shines through her narrative, music video, and commercial work. Her aesthetic is a blend of surrealism, nostalgia, and comedy which she uses to craft dynamic images and unforgettable stories. Her acclaimed music video for Grizzly Bear's 'Mourning Sound' is exemplary of this style in which she uses the catchy, mellow beats as a vehicle to portray female empowerment through her fantastical and subtly comedic imagery. The video earned her nominations at the 1.4 Awards for Up-and-Coming Director and Best Music Video, and garnered press in top publications, such as Rolling Stone, for her unique take on the song. Other awards and nominations include the British Film Institute, The One Show, Ciclope, and Berlin MVAs.

“Once we saw the unique work that Beatrice was doing around the world we knew we wanted her to join us. Her work is so wonderfully her that it was a no brainer.  Once we all met her we knew how special she was and we are thrilled to continue her journey in the US,” said RadicalMedia President and EP, Frank Scherma.

“I am so thrilled to join RadicalMedia’s incredible roster and amazing team, which has always been such an inspiration to me. I often go by Dolly Parton’s “find out who you are, and do it on purpose” mantra and know that RadicalMedia will let me thrive and flourish to do exactly that. I cannot wait to go on this journey with them, which I know will be filled with fun, wonder and exciting, high quality work,” said director Beatrice Pegard

Additionally, Beatrice is a firm believer in sustainable filmmaking, which she applies to her creative process whenever possible, and provides green toolkits and advice geared towards lowering our carbon footprint, sustainable film production and waste reduction. Beatrice received an MA and a PhD in Political and Environmental Sciences before joining the Sydney Film School.
