String and Tins are thrilled to announce the appointment of Rachel Hough as executive producer.
Rachel’s last job before switching from agency-side, was the Emmy nominated Amazon Alexa 2020 Super Bowl campaign. An experienced Agency Producer, Rachel has an incredible heritage of adverts under her belt. She is known for her stints at Fallon working with ECD duo Rich & Andy and later for her work at BBH under the creative leadership of Nick Gill and most recently, Droga5 with David Kolbusz. She has been behind adverts for brands including Amazon, The Guardian, Johnnie Walker, Sony, Honda, Boots, Samsung, Carling, Hovis, Lynx, St John Ambulance and many more.
Now taking the step into sound design and bespoke composition, Rachel is no stranger to String and Tins or music. In her past Rachel was a choir singer as well as a piano and trombone player, so her new role will continue the hybrid skill heritage of String and Tins’ composer / sound designers.
Commenting on her new role, Rachel says: “As an agency producer I knew the leadership team at String and Tins long before they decided to start their own company. I’d watched them go from strength to strength, in their respective disciplines. So when they joined forces to open up shop, I was thrilled. I love their transparent ethos that focuses truly on craft. Over the last 7 years I’ve worked with them any chance I could and so I was honoured when they approached me about the EP role. I’ve been lucky to work with some of the most talented creative people in the UK and I’m excited for that to continue within the String and Tins family. I look forward to bringing a different perspective and new element to the team, as well as reignite my music skills!”
Partners at String and Tins, Will Cohen & Mike Bamford comment: “We couldn’t be happier to have Rachel join the team. Not only because we have seen her outstanding work over the years - and because she was an amazing person to work with throughout - but because she is a genuinely incredible human being. She can add a depth of experience to the team like no one else.”
