"Queer Musicians Help Provide Our Community with Much Needed Representation"

Happy Pride month! After a year-plus of pandemic, we could all use a bit more love in our lives. But for some, finding songs that reflect your experience with love can be a tall task. For queer people, even with the rise of more LGBTQ+ artists, it can often feel like mainstream love songs just weren't written with us in mind. Pop star Hayley Kiyoko reflects: "Amplifying the voices of the LGBTQ+ community has never been more important, especially when it comes to the music industry. Queer musicians help provide our community with much needed representation simply by telling their own unique and individual stories”.

To help kick off Pride Month 2021, I have put together a playlist with music from LGBTQ+ artists at Concord Music Publishing to support queer people around the world through music.
