New appointments follow an exceptional year for the studios Music division
Global content studio Pulse Films today announced the promotion of Rik Green and the appointment of Alli Maxwell as Executive Producers heading up the studios UK & US Music division respectively. The studio behind Beyonce’s Peabody Award winning “Lemonade” film and winner of four awards at the 2016 UKMVA’s including “Best Director”, is strengthening its division internationally.

Rik Green joined Pulse as a Music Video producer in 2012, since then he has gone on to helm some of the studio's most iconic videos including award winners “Genghis Khan” for Miike Snow (Ninian Doff), “Nobody Speak” for DJ Shadow & Run the Jewels (Sam Pilling), “No Reason” for Bonobo (Oscar Hudson) and most recently produced “Process”, Kahlil Joseph’s epic film for Sampha which launched globally on Apple Music. Working with the most celebrated names in music, Rik was recognised at the 2016 UKMVA’s with a “Best Producer” nomination.

Rik will now head up Pulse’s UK music division, driving forward its continued success and emboldening the studios talent to create ambitious work that cuts through the noise.

Rik commented: "I’m really excited to be stepping up into this new role having been part of the Pulse family for the past four years. I’m looking forward to building on the incredible momentum we have created in our music division and inspiring the outstanding roster of talent we have so that our work continues to be ambitious, fearless and singular as it can be. I’m also excited to be working closely with Alli Maxwell, who I know will be trailblazing for Pulse on the U.S side of the business”.

Alli Maxwell is a multidisciplinary creative and executive producer whose career spans music videos, commercials, branded entertainment, VR and feature film. Previously based in New York before relocating to Los Angeles, Maxwell has led on projects for the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Madonna, The Black Keys, Samsung, Netflix among many others.

Maxwell’s transition to Pulse will see her apply her extensive experience with the studios global capacity and radical outlook to push music video to new levels. In her new position Alli will spearhead the studios U.S music division out of Pulse’s Los Angeles office.

Alli added: “I am excited by Pulse —  the way they think outside the box and the possibilities that yields to bring new and fresh ideas to the industry. I am honored to think with this team — a group that is both thoughtful about their risks as well as bold in their reach. They are a team that sees opportunity where others see limitations. We live in exceedingly divisive times, but music and creative expression gives me hope. To paraphrase and reinterpret Thomas Jefferson: A little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the creative world as storms in the physical.”

Marisa Clifford, CEO of Pulse Films said: “Rik has produced some of Pulse’s most acclaimed work to date, and will smash it as our new EP in the UK. I am also delighted to welcome Alli to our U.S team. With her background and experience, I look forward to seeing her lead and grow the US music division. It’s a really exciting time for Pulse Films."
