Publicis ‘Team Renault’ has created a striking press advert for the Renault Twizy model, advertising the fact that the electric vehicle now comes with windows.
The 100% electric urban compact two-seater was launched in April last year with open sides, but now also offers the optional extra of windows in the UK market, making it even more versatile and fun to drive.
The press ad plays on Renault’s French heritage and the zero emission (Z.E.) car’s silence to demonstrate the new feature – by showing a Marcel Marceau-esque mime artist pressed against a glass screen in reference to the Renault Twizy’s new windows. Under the image a strapline adds: “Renault Twizy. Now with windows.”
Publicis London deputy managing director Jason Cobbold said: “The Renault Twizy is an incredibly fun car and we wanted to reflect that playfulness to let people know that the Twizy now comes with windows – something we’re sure British drivers will appreciate given the vagaries of our weather.”
The ad will first appear in today’s T3 magazine. Media planning and buying is through OMD.
