Publicis Chemistry Appoints Kevin Allen

To Executive Planning Director

Publicis Chemistry Appoints Kevin Allen

Publicis Chemistry has appointed Kevin Allen, the former Proximity global head of planning, as its executive planning director.
He joins this month from Gyro, where he was global planning director and charged with managing international clients and leading on international business development.
Allen will report directly to Publicis Chemistry chief executive Mike Welsh and sit on the agency’s management board. He will head the planning function and work across all the agency’s clients including EE, Visa, SCA Hygiene and Gatwick Airport.
Welsh said: “I am delighted to welcome Kevin to Publicis Chemistry. He is one of the best planners in the business, with considerable experience in both B2B and B2C, and his digital credentials are impeccable. He brings a new vigour to our already strong planning function and I look forward to building on our reputation as one of the UK’s largest and leading agencies in its space with him.”
Allen joined GyroHSR in March 2011 from BBDO/Proximity Worldwide where he had worked as global head of planning for three years.
Whilst at Proximity he was instrumental in developing some of the agency’s largest international clients including GE, Bayer, Johnson & Johnson and Allianz. He joined the network in 2005 as head of planning for Proximity London and a planning leader for Proximity Worldwide.
In 2000, Allen set up digital specialist Wild Onion as a joint venture with independent Cramm Francis Woolf, which he joined as planning and digital director the following year and rose to become managing director.
He replaces Malcolm Cotton, who has left the agency.
