Karmarama, part of Accenture Interactive, has won a competitive pitch to partner with Project Everyone, the not-for-profit organisation founded by filmmaker Richard Curtis to fight for global progress towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (also known as the ‘Global Goals’).
Project Everyone seeks to put the power of great communications behind The Global Goals – a historic plan signed by 193 nations at the United Nations in 2015 to end extreme poverty, to conquer inequality and injustice, and to fix the climate crisis by 2030.
As Project Everyone seeks to drive radical acceleration towards the Goals in 2020, they have appointed Karmarama as their campaign creative partner, with a brief to drive public awareness, unite global activism towards the goals and hold leaders to account for keeping their promise.
Activity begins in early 2020 and will take in significant political moments this year, including the UN General Assembly and COP26 in Glasgow.
Hannah Cameron, creative director at Project Everyone said: “We want to give people the power to hold world leaders to account; to keep their promises and to deliver the Global Goals. Karmarama was able to find a powerful creative expression of these complex themes, which we believe will drive accelerated progress in this critical year.”
Ben Bilboul, CEO at Karmarama, part of Accenture Interactive added: “It’s not every day you get asked to help save the world and when it’s Project Everyone, of course you say yes. Richard Curtis and Project Everyone have assembled an amazing team of activists and we’re delighted to be playing a small part.”
