Production studio Spindle has launched in London, helmed by award-winning director Greg Hackett, EPs Stitch Richardson and Lois Newcombe and editor Tim Swaby. The foursome bring with them enviable insight into brand thinking, content creation and development.
The progressive studio launches with an impressive roster of talent from diverse disciplines, including Russian directing duo, Papaya Dog, Sam Huntley, Lisa Paclet, Spencer MacDonald and of course Greg Hackett to name just a few. Their work spans across all genres and platforms; and has amassed a plethora of global accolades, working with world renowned brands, such as Sony, KFC, Nike, Google, Dior, Pepsi, Mercedes Benz and McDonald's.
Founder/director Greg Hackett comments: "At Spindle we don’t differentiate between advertising and entertainment, instead we use our experience across both to deliver the best possible results for our clients."
EP/partner, Stitch Richardson adds: "Each film requires an individual and tailored approach, so we work with creative people from diverse disciplines and backgrounds to capture the most compelling human perspectives."
Executive producer, Lois Newcombe joined the Spindle team in March having started her career in music and entertainment, partnering with high profile artists and publishing platforms, before working with Craft WW.
Lois notes: "Spindle are proactive, rather than reactive, which means we not only put all the care, work and craft into delivering commissioned projects for clients that you’d expect but we are also creating, developing and pitching ideas and working with our roster to keep them moving forward. Our EPs always work collaboratively with Spindle directors, which creates fantastic results."
Partner/editor Tim Swaby comments: "Having between us worked from within many influential platforms, companies and roles across the industry, we have a unique insight into creating quality and engaging content for our clients, that their audiences will genuinely want to share. We want to use this experience and skillset to help our clients become part of the cultural conversation, as well as deliver the best creative possible."
Richardson notes: "Spindle has the capacity to work as an end to end studio, creating original concepts for brands, platforms and broadcast, as well as working with agencies and brands to develop creative approaches to already established concepts, using our production expertise and network of talent."
Hackett concludes: "We are also hugely passionate about supporting and developing new talent and believe that in creating a supportive space for directors, we will continue to attract the best.’ Recent signing Brent Foster, was awarded a silver at the 2018 Shots Awards, for ‘New Director of the Year.'"
