Presence Signs Director Ethosheia Hylton 

Presence have signed American Black Film Festival prize winner Ethosheia Hylton for global commercials representation. 

Ethosheia, recently hailed as shaping the future for Women in Film by Vogue won the prestigious European Academy Gold Fellowship in 2018. 

Danny Fleet, founder and exec producer at Presence said: “Ethosheia Hylton is one of the most exciting and original emerging directors on the UK drama scene today. Her films feature powerful storytelling and gritty performances. Married with a natural flair for beautiful cinematography and editing, we think Ethosheia has a great future ahead of her in both commercials and features and are delighted to have her join the team.”

Ethosheia’s recent short film ‘Dolápò is Fine’ won the HBO best short film category at The American Black Film Festival in 2020. It is currently screening in the official selection for the London Film Festival 2020. Her previous short films Brixton Rock, Lia, Small World, Sistas with Locs and Ackee & Saltfish have won numerous awards and screenings putting her in Oscar-qualifying contention. She is currently developing Brixton Rock as a feature.
