Digital creative agency Pound & Grain has added to its design capabilities with the promotion of Kateland Clarke to design director. Clarke is a proven design lead who brings more than a decade of design, production and marketing experience to the new role. She will oversee design for branding, user interface, user experience and advertising for Pound & Grain clients in both its Vancouver and Toronto locations.
“Kateland has a natural eye for creative communication that works”, said Pound & Grain creative director and partner, Graham MacInnes. “The UK native boasts a diverse skill set that includes photography, graphic design, art direction and marketing.”
“Her passion for the success of the team and client is always front and centre,” said Sandy Fleischer, managing partner, Pound & Grain. “Her drive and enthusiasm is infectious and shows in all of the projects she’s involved with, big or small.”
Clarke has spent the past year with Pound & Grain as an art director, producing work for brands including BCLC on behalf of its Casinos BC, Lottery, and GameSense brands, as well as The University of British Columbia’s entrepreneurship program e@UBC, UHF and moving and storage company BigSteelBox.
“I am thrilled to take on this new role with Pound & Grain,” said Clarke. “Design thinking is playing a greater role than ever before in marketing-communications, and it’s a pleasure to work with a company that treats it with such high regard.”
