It's a different world. And we’re a different Crispin.
Meet some of our humans making things happen behind the scenes. We asked them a few questions, with one requirement… to please keep it interesting.
Hunter Hall, group creative director
I’ve been doing this for eons; my family and friends are all VERY aware of what I do and they love sharing their opinions on what ads they love and hate. Even my Orkin guy pitches me random commercial ideas every time he comes to spray.
Living in Dallas means I get to start my day two hours ahead of LA, which I absolutely treasure. I wake up, drink water, do a shot of vitamin C, drink coffee, journal, then run 4-6 miles ideally out on the trails or go to the gym to run and lift. I stretch, meditate, pick my spirit animal tarot card that will tell me which animal’s energy to tap into that day. Shower. Dress. Breakfast. I’ll text my daughters who are off at college, 'Keke Content,' fun pics of our beloved Shih Tzu, Snickers. Some days I go to therapy. Then I’ll start work, writing, concepting or catching up on emails before jumping on the day’s Zoom meetings. All before LA wakes up! Incredibly satisfying!!
I don’t have a desk. I either stand up at our bar or sit at our dining room table. That’s probably why my back hurts and I need carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists. (Note to self: get a proper desk and chair!) Nearby are two books, Artist’s Way and This Time I Dance! And I always keep Palo Santo, candles, and a lighter to clear the energy. Yes, I’m that person who sages after a not-so-good meeting. Get that dirt off my shoulders. Energy is everything.
If I didn’t work in the creative industry, I would be a shaman in the woods. On the side, I’d write my memoir, “Girl Gets in a Jam. Boy Gets Out of a Jam.” I also like to think I’d own a bar called, “Pssst…Everyone’s Gay.”
I was not expecting to be so completely blown away by Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. It was incredibly powerful to FEEL and be part of the absolute and complete LOVE FEST that she repeated over and over again at every sold-out show. You don’t have to be a fan of her music to respect how she is boosting girl power positivity and the economy simultaneously. My daughter and I were so completely obsessed with Friday night’s show at AT&T Stadium, we went back for floor seats Sunday night, and no, I will never tell anyone how much I paid for those tickets. (Worth every damn penny!) Yes, she made $4.1 BILLION off the Eras Tour. Yes, she is the most powerfully influential person on the planet.
I creatively direct my life like it’s a movie. Duh, of course I’m the main character: have you met Hunter Hall?! He is new as of this year and I am obsessed with his deeper voice, flat chest and facial hair thanks to my 'man dinner' every Thursday, aka, testosterone shots! Hiiiii, I’m freakin’ happy and proud to be a trans man – if you didn’t know, now you do!
Being trans is an absolute gift because I get the best of both my divine masculine and feminine selves. I have never been so at peace with myself and full of childish joy as I am today. I have experienced life in ways that most people will never understand. I feel like a walking, talking social experiment and I love to share what I’m experiencing, so feel free to ask me questions! The only thing I’d change is how utterly revolting and disgusting the state of men’s bathrooms are.
