Plant-based Meat Makers THIS Go Serious for Social Spot

Chuck Studios London have recently served up a tasty selection of social media assets for the creators of arguably the world’s most realistic plant-based meat, UK company THIS.

THIS is a plant-based meat alternative that’s causing a stir with in-your-face advertising and tongue-in-cheek attitude. There’s certainly no mistaking their mission; get carnivores to cut down on meat and entice vegetarians or vegans who want the meaty taste and texture, but not the environmental impact.

Chuck Studios became instant fans of their meat-alt movement when it saw the THIS range of mouth watering products, always served with a generous helping of bold and irreverent humour; THIS is made without killing stuff. 

It’s hard to believe THIS isn’t meat… it looks so good. So, when they came knocking on the Chuck Studios door, the team were licking its lips in anticipation.

‘Stop people scrolling’. ‘Simple, clean tasty… and keep those purse strings nice and tight’.  That was Chuck Studios’ brief. Yep, we said, we can do that… and more.

Once tabletop director and DOP Paul Lilley was on board, Chuck Studios went above and beyond creating the assets. Paul chose to shoot on the Phantom flex 4k hi-speed camera – after all, you can never have too much of a good thing.

“Hyper-real, up-close and in ultra detail” was the brief and to put the THIS products “front and centre” was the aim. Chuck Studios created a menu of assets for its social team to tuck into. Chuck designed each shot so it could either be used as a standalone clip or edited together to make a medley of meaty flavour.
