Coming back to reality after a four day weekend and the first of a string of bank holidays at this time of year, we’re not quite ready to let go of the party. Given the practically perfect weather and multiple days off, it’s no surprise that we’re already starting to think about our summer soundtracks. For this reason, this week, we’ve put together some tracks that are prerequisite for any ‘Summer 2k19’ playlist.
Between The Lines (The Black Madonna Remix) by Robyn
Already hailed by Skream as ‘the tune of the summer’, The Black Madonna lends her talents to this standout track from Robyn’s blistering latest album, Honey.
It'll All Be Over (DJ Koze Remix) by Gerry Read
Arguably a competitor for ‘tune of the summer’, DJ Koze unleashes an infectious groove on this remix of this track off Gerry Read’s soon to be released EP.
Taste of Bitter Love by Gladys Knight & The Pips
A highlight from Purple Disco Machine's highly anticipated 'Discotheque' compilation that came out this weekend, we just had to include this slice of classic disco from Gladys Knight & The Pips.
Can't Take It by Dan Shake
Moodyman's protege, this track sums up the summer vibes that were felt over the bank holiday. Dan Shake at his finest.
Vacuum by David Granha
With our ongoing Meterhuis residency in Amsterdam, all eyes were on the city which also saw DGTL Festival take place. This David Granha track was a highlight from Amelie Lens' set so we had to include it this week.
