Pitch & Sync’s Tracks of the Week | 12.08.19

Some of the team here at P&S have been a bit down in the dumps this week after the shock cancellation of Houghton Festival. Not the only festival to become a casualty of the immense force of Mother Nature, with Boardmasters also being called off at the last minute, we thought it best to put together a playlist that would cheer people up - the perfect mix of tranquility and upbeat.

Lost Heads by Moon Duo

You didn’t think you needed seven minutes of expansive spacey disco to start your week but this latest track from Moon Duo proves that it’s probably the best way to start things off.

Up & Down by Francis Lung  

A mixture of euphoric and tranquil, Francis Lung gives us yet another taster of his upcoming debut album. We can’t wait to hear what else he has to offer.

Whilst we could’ve easily put the whole of Marika Hackman’s latest album on our playlist this week, we decided to go for the album opener, a subtle and hazy love letter to her folk origins.

A match made in heaven, Planningtorock lend their signature sound to a remix of this track off P&S favourite Robyn’s latest album.

Lately (Gerd Janson & Shan Remix) by Metronomy 

Adding that quintessential Running Back sound to a Metronomy album cut, Gerd Janson teams up with frequent collaborator Shan to put together this stellar remix.
