‘Can you believe that it’s already December?! 2018 has been a pretty exciting year filled with some amazing music. Be on the lookout for some of our favourites from this past year, but for the time being, enjoy some late additions that really show that it’s never too late to add to your ‘best of’ lists.’
A truly stunning and emotive electronic track, Model Man follow up on their debut with this exciting track. Definitely a duo to keep your eye on in 2019, as they’ve promised even more great work to come.
Recently reissued by Rush Hour, we couldn’t resist including this funky number by Janet Kay. The ultimate party starter, perfectly timed for those Christmas do’s.
Another Rush Hour reissue that is sure to get you on your feet, Nova, a Hawaiian act from the 1970s only released one album, but performed for a young Barack Obama at his school dance. Talk about a pub quiz fact!
Part of a lost session from the jazz icon, this Miles Davis track showcases the legend at his best. Featuring his signature complex and meandering trumpet solos, this is certainly a highlight for us this week.
The always impressive Obongjayar releases another hauntingly powerful track this week. Inspiring, intimate and endlessly rhythmic, it’s no surprise he’s already garnering so much acclaim.
