Philippines Department of Tourism Virtual Backgrounds Encourage People to 'Travel From Home'

The Philippine Department of Tourism, in partnership with BBDO Guerrero, has launched a campaign encouraging people to ‘travel from home’. The campaign uses the virtual background feature used by conference call facilities and video conferencing platforms to enable people to see the beautiful landscapes of the Philippines from the safety and comfort of their home.

The ‘Travel From Home’ virtual backgrounds transports you to some of the most popular tourism spots in the country, and are arranged to reflect the relevant times of day. They are available to download for free on the website BBDO built and can be set as virtual backgrounds for video conferencing. So, you have the ability to have your early morning meeting with a glorious mountain sunrise, and your evening meeting with a golden beach sunset. 

BBDO Guerrero conceptualised the campaign to remind and encourage people to stay at home. Every download comes with a reminder—that as much as our destinations miss you, it’s vital that you stay home now so you can return to your favourite places in the Philippines later.
