Phil Nobay Joins Ogilvy Brisbane as new ECD

Industry veteran Phil Nobay has joined Ogilvy Brisbane as Executive Creative Director, and part of its leadership team.

A highly-experienced creative with more than 25 years’ experience, Nobay will work alongside Managing Director Russ Vine and General Manager Jane Young in his new role.  As part of his remit, Nobay will work across all of Ogilvy’s Brisbane clients providing senior creative guidance.

Most recently Nobay was Creative Director of digital agency Publicis Pusher where he worked with a diverse range of clients including Mack Trucks, Queensland Government, Foot Locker, SurfStitch, Schoolies.com, Parmalat, Nature's Own, Mantra Hotels, Goodlife Health Clubs, Brisbane Heat, Burleigh Brewing, and Santos, among others.

He has also held following senior roles at Clemenger BBDO, EuroRSCG and McCann-Erickson, TBWA\GGT, Wunderman Y&R and Grey in London.

“Phil not only has outstanding experience and creative talent, but a clear understanding of how creative, strategy and media can and should work together for the benefit of clients,” said Ogilvy Australia CEO David Fox.

“We’re excited to have him not only join the growing Brisbane office, but the broader Ogilvy Australia team which is focussed on further developing the benefits of our integrated model.”

Nobay said of joining Ogilvy Brisbane: “I’m really excited about joining an agency that truly appreciates the power of integration, with the national talent and capabilities to deliver it.”

Nobay replaces Jonathan Drapes who left the agency several months ago to pursue personal projects.  “We wish Jono all the best with this next phase in his career.  He’s been an asset to Ogilvy and will remain a friend of the agency,” Fox said.
