Serious Pictures are delighted to announce their new signing, British celebrity, fashion & beauty director Phil Griffin.
As a photographer & a director, Phil’s lens has captured award winning videos and iconic photographs of the likes of, Amy Winehouse, Annie Lennox, Kings of Leon, Paul McCartney and Prince which in turn have made him the UK’s most air-played promo director over 6 consecutive years (Promo Magazine).
Phil has just returned from a 2 year spell in LA filming highly acclaimed and award-winning feature length documentaries on some of the US’ biggest recording artists. These sensitive portrayals of celebrity life have included, the Tribeca Film Festival special selection documentary on Bon Jovi When We Were Beautiful and the incredible Britney: For The Record which follows the singer in the aftermath of her globally reported breakdown, a film which achieved the second highest ever ratings on MTV in the US.
Phil combines a beautiful and often photographic style with a skillful handling of performance pieces and celebrities. A background in staging and choreography makes him a natural choice for beauty and fashion subjects and of course dance oriented pieces. The recent Feature length experiences of the last 3 years and a fresh understanding of narrative has undoubtedly honed his ability to tell a story and we look forward to building his profile in the London commercials market
