PHD’s New York, Shanghai and Montreal offices all made the Top 10

Following a stellar year of award wins, PHD Worldwide has climbed to 2nd place in the Gunn Media 100 report, underlining the network’s reputation as one of the most creative media agency networks in the world.

Notably, PHD New York was also ranked 2nd globally for most awarded agency, with PHD Shanghai placing 4th and Montreal office, Touché!, Placing 9th. PHD offices featured more times than any other agency in the Top 10.

Mike Cooper, CEO of PHD Worldwide said, “As a challenger brand at scale, PHD couldn’t be in a better position. Ranking as the 2nd most awarded network globally in The Gunn Report for Media, demonstrates our commitment to delivering innovation and creativity for our clients and shows how we continue to punch well above our network weight, thanks to a focus on smart strategic thinking across our network”.

PHD has consistently climbed The Gunn Report rankings, having risen from 3rd place in 2017, from 4th place in 2016’s table of results. PHD achieved 1199.5 points to achieve 2nd place in 2018’s report.

Of the Top 10 most awarded campaigns, three were by PHD agencies – more than any other agency network – including ‘Yasmin’s Sex Ed Revolution’ for Bayer, ‘The Fastest Olympic Campaign’ for Canadian retailer Sport Chek and ‘Bully Ads’ for the Canadian Safe School Network.

Other standout campaigns from PHD that made the list included four campaigns from PHD USA for clients SAP, Vaseline, Mailchimp and Excedrin. PHD Auckland also featured for DB Export ‘Beer Bottle Sand’, as did PHD London’s ‘Batman Barges In’ for The Lego Batman Movie.

The Gunn Media 100 combines the winners' lists from all the most important media strategy contests, everywhere in the world. Some of these are global contests, some regional, some national. The 2018 report looked at almost 30 of the world's top shows and their winners' lists across a range of categories.
