Wieden+Kennedy Portland create the five new spots for ‘Biggest Fan’

 

Procter & Gamble have continued their Olympic campaign with five new spots out of Wieden+Kennedy Portland. 
 
The TVCs showcase the success of three US Olympic medal winners, Jordyn Wieber, Ashton Eaton and Gabby Douglas, and their mother’s reactions to the athlete’s successes. 
 
Trials Reactions’ features Ashton Eaton breaking the world record in the decathlon event and the support he receives from his mother. 
 
Gabby Douglas is the centrepiece of ‘Rising to the Occasion’. The 16-year-old gymnast’s big moment is captured perfectly. 
 
Women’s gymnast, Jordyn Wieber stars in two of the spots. ‘Biggest Fan’ focuses on the success of the US gymnast team, whereas ‘Try Again’ focuses on a sense of possible disappointment. Wieber was expected to win the individual competition, however she did not qualify. Advice from her mother on bounce-back ability is given.
 
Viewers are treated to a mum-tage during ‘Excuse Us’. They may cheer too loudly and flap their arms in your faces. ‘Fanatic’ may be more fitting than ‘fan’. But you have to excuse them. They’re mums.
