Peter Crouch Reflects on His Football Career in Carphone Warehouse 'Switcheroo' Ad
On Sunday, Carphone Warehouse launched a new TV advert with Peter Crouch as part of its 'Switcheroo' campaign, celebrating a dedication to securing the ‘best deal’ for customers switching mobile contracts. Whether it’s new teammates, or a new mobile contract, switching can be made easy with the right expertise.

The TVC, created by AMV BBDO, premiered during the UEFA Nations League Final on Sunday 9th June and features Premier League footballer Peter Crouch - famous for playing for several top football clubs throughout his ongoing career. The TVC demonstrates that even Crouch, who has switched to play for a number of great teams, benefits from the help of Carphone Warehouse store colleagues to find the best phone deal on the market and encourages everyone to do the same. The advertising campaign will run for three weeks on TV, radio, VOD, digital audio, as well as a four-week content partnership with Global across Heart, Smooth, Capital and Radio X.


Directed by Andy Mcleod of Rattling Stick, the advert reflects on Crouch’s football career, but realises that even with all his experience, he still needs a little help when it comes to switching. Crouch arrives at a Carphone Warehouse store where colleagues provide the assistance and expertise to help him switch and find the best deal for him.

Premier League footballer and star of Carphone Warehouse’s TVC Peter Crouch says: “Having played for loads of different clubs in my career I thought I knew a thing or two about switching, but even I’ve learnt a little expert help is always needed. I’m glad that when it comes to finding the best phone deal, I can rely on the experts at Carphone Warehouse to make switching an easy and hassle-free process.”
