JAKARNO otherwise known as French directors Jack Antoine Charlot and Arnaud Delord, have released a unique music video for Indie Pop Band Captain Kid. Produced by Passion Paris, the promo for “Sun One” defies the laws of gravity and logic by immersing us in a strange world made of materials and textures. 

After the success of joining forces to make their first promo for Tahiti Boy and the Palmtree Family ‘Low Life’, making this promo was the perfect opportunity for the directing duo to collaborate with Captain Kid.

Shot from a bird’s eye view, the camera follows dancer Aliashka Hilsum performing a possessed dance in a post-apocalyptical environment. ‘We decided to stay on earth but the idea of the sun and heat was very strong. Instead of going to the sun, we brought the sun to us…” say Jakarno, who enjoyed playing with camera angles to represent the sun’s presence. 

Having both come from a background of live-action, CG and 2d animation work, this promo for Captain Kid has strengthened the JAKARNO partnership and they are excited about moving forward with these mediums.
