Park Village’s Rowena True Makes Paper Sexy

Park village have this year taken great momentum, from acquiring Rena Jett, previous APA Awards Show manager and signing some fresh talent to the return of Rowena who has clearly mastered her talent.

 

Rowena True, who has just returned from Canada,  mixes an eclectic style from paper play and origami to stop-frame. She has been applied to work for clients such as Alice & Olivia, Topshop, Dazed Digital, The National Theatre, Grazia, ION Magazine, E4, London Fashion Week and Let Them Eat Cake magazine.

 

A multidisciplinary film artist her interests in fashion, surrealism and styling are coupled with an unconventional approach to animation and filmmaking. Her dress sense speaks for her work if you are lucky enough to meet her.

 

This is her latest masterpiece, directed and animated for New York clothing brand Alice & Olivia's Spring 2013 campaign.

 

The film combines live-action and animation with paper cut-out and compliments the sophisticated colourful brand with a playful sensibility. 

 

Shot over a day in their showrooms in Manhattan the video features models Ksenia Vasylchenko, Georgiana Sarev and Tali Lennox modelling Bendet's spring collection.
