Mulberry launches it's Autumn Winter Collection for 2011 with it's latest fantasy film directed by Luke Losey, Park Village.
Set in a quintessential English manor house in Oxfordshire, where models Tatiana & Julia are beautifully styled in the new collection (which features tweeds, sumptuous silks and a rich autumnal palette) : as they pose amid the velvet chairs, chandeliers and ornate wall coverings. It's set with a very laid back elegance and edgy decadent theme to allow acclaimed photograph Tim Walker to create another distinctive campaign for Mulberry. Luke worked around Tim's incredible set shooting both static and live elements giving the film a feel of fantasy but still capturing the elements & design essences of Tim's incredible stills. Luke again used Award winning Visual Effects company Framestore to add their magic and push the latest film further than the last. Taking the hand held video moves and green screen captured elements to create a series of overlaying sequences to complement the rich visual texture. The unique finished film captures the mood of Tim Walker’s luxury-meets-fantasy perfectly, taking the viewer on a magical journey into Mulberry's darkly beautiful sumptuous new season.
Luke Losey commented:
" Keats said about autumn, ‘a scattered frost has touched everything just enough to give a mottled pattern of brown and green’…Well add to this a few seasonal fungi; invite fantastic Mr. Fox to the party and your getting close, every time I look at the film I feel like I fell down the rabbit hole and opened the bottle marked 'drink me' (and I’m the director). We are privileged again to gate crash and make our own the wonderful world of Mulberry for the Fall / Winter collection, Framestore excel themselves on every count as we explored the possibilities of just about everything in the lab for this one, the film began life as a piece of live action (believe it or not), winking Foxes, surly Owls, lime green bags of the highest order and shape shifting eggs abound. Just remember what the dormouse said…"
