James and Jack join the film roster

Park Village welcomes directors James Fitzgerald and Jack Turner to its film roster.

James is an award winning director and writer from Ireland with a flare for dark drama and comedy in his work. After graduating from The National Film school of Ireland with a major in drama directing and a minor in cinematography, his short film Skunky Dog went on to screen at some of the largest festivals around the world and pick up a string of prestigious awards including three Royal Television awards at the BFI and an IFTA nomination. He’s been selected for Future Frames - in association with Sundance and Variety Magazine - as one of the Ten New European Filmmakers to watch. In 2021, his short film ‘The Invisible Boy’, was long listed for an Oscar, along with another IFTA nomination and a Young Director Awards shortlist at Cannes. His latest short film, 'BAD BOY BUCK', which was funded by Screen Ireland, has just hit its festival run.

He directed commercials for brands such as the National Aid Trust, PointsBet, Tony Card, Subway, 48 Mobile and TG4 through global agencies Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy, JWT, and Publicis amongst others and music videos for record labels like Sony, Universal, Warner Brothers and Atlantic Records.

Jack is a multidisciplinary director who continues to develop his eclectic visual style, defined by his inherently tactile approach. Jack’s eye for texture and mixed media, is seen across his commercials, music videos and short films, which has earned him features in Shots, Shiny Awards and Minute Shorts. Jack’s powerfully cinematic imagery is often combined with a sharp narrative that evolved at the NFTS and blossomed after the Olympic Channel acquired his first documentary, Chasing Tokyo, in partnership with Discovery+. It earned him a prestigious Webby Nomination and won Gold at the Telly Awards.

Alongside this, Jack continues to present himself as an exciting long form prospect for future film and television projects as he channels his energy into writing his debut feature.
