Park Village has bolstered its roster with the addition of tabletop and lifestyle director Katie Swain.
Katie’s TV vocation kicked off at the BBC where she built a strong profile before honing her cinematography craft, cutting her teeth first on commercials before progressing to TV dramas and features.
As a successful and highly regarded director of photography, Katie’s career naturally navigated towards directing commercials. In a relatively short space of time she has built a creative reputation specialising in both tabletop (food and drinks) and lifestyle brands including Oreo, Carte D’Or, Waitrose, John Lewis, Bombay Gin, Huawei, Rachel’s Yogurt and Weetabix.
When it comes to food, her visual style is fresh and appetising, with a quirky edge that gains cut-through for her clients.
Katie is renowned for her energetic yet calm approach. Her focus on detail and putting quality first whilst identifying creative boundaries, has earned her creative accolades and returning clients and brands.
Park Village’s managing director Tom Webb comments: “I’m delighted to welcome Katie to Park Village. She has a great eye for composition, her background as a DoP brings a wealth of technical experience and she has a fresh and collaborative approach - we are looking forward to making some great work together."
On joining Park Village, Swain adds: “I’m so excited to have been invited to join the hugely creative team at Park Village. I consider myself proud to be amongst a growing group of female directors and to be able to apply my knowledge as cinematographer to my future projects with Park Village."
