The new commercial from Papaya Films director Martin Aamund titled ‘The Simple Truth’ for British skincare brand Simple is a colourful and slick piece. The film showcases Martin’s talents behind the camera while simultaneously highlighting the product, with a splash of lush visual effects we see how Simple is a daily essential in the lives of the people on camera.

To capture the blurry effect Martin shot at 50 frames per second, but also shot test reference at 6 fps. The post team then worked their magic and frame cut from the 50 FPS footage to create 6FPS speed of action, but then utilised the now removed frames to create the trail effect.

The great use of a time-lapse only adds to the effectiveness of Simple commercial as everything comes together in perfect harmony, making for a visual treat that flows in perfect motion.
