Owning a Tank Isn’t as Fun as it Sounds in These World of Tanks Ads

The amusing campaign for the Wargaming title by Romance highlights the difficulties of real-life tank ownership

Owning a Tank Isn’t as Fun as it Sounds in These World of Tanks Ads
Owning a tank isn’t easy. Your choices are pretty limited. With a tank, you can’t put your groceries in the trunk…because there is no trunk. And that’s if you were able to even find a convenient spot in the parking lot.

You can’t go for a family trip with your tank. There’s no room - for your luggage, or for your family. Even going camping would be tricky because a tank doesn't come with a trailer hook.

If you were thinking of grabbing something at a drive-through, forget it. The tank would never fit and you wouldn’t even be able to order over the sound of the engine.

A tank is tough to park, no matter how you try, not to mention drive on a highway. Really, it’s impossible to do just about anything.

In fact, the only place where it's good to own a tank is in the video game ‘World of Tanks’.

In the new creative push for its flagship game, Wargaming, the online game developer, publisher, and leader in the free-to-play MMO market, and Romance, its chosen agency for pan-European communication, produced two TV commercials, which have been live since January 1st in the UK. The campaign is also being broadcast in France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Turkey.
