Ovarian Cancer Action is urging women who have any symptoms of the disease to visit their GP, during a time when 35,000 extra deaths are predicted as a result of avoiding the doctor due to covid anxiety.
TBWA|London has created the work, which uses copy lines such as: 'Cancer doesn’t wait in line' and 'Cancer is the second wave', to emphasise the serious impact of not visiting the GP during this time if anyone is worried about their health.
The out-of-home executions will be housed on digital Clear Channel inventory in shopping malls nationwide and were written by Cyndall McInerney with art direction by Fleur Willems.
Ovarian Cancer Action is again urging women who have any unusual symptoms to visit their GP. The charity is particularly concerned about the increased number of women with ovarian cancer who may face late diagnosis and poorer survival rates due to avoiding the doctor during the Covid-19 pandemic.
