Oskar Illustration’s Short Film 'Flowers' Celebrates the Beauty of Skateboarding, But Not as You Know It

Oi! and Haley Tippmann have collaborated with Margate skate star, Tim Fury, to produce a fast-paced film directed by othercrowd, which is guaranteed to make you want to watch it 100 times over. Celebrating the joy of skateboarding, with a twist, Flowers subverts the traditional male-dominated aesthetic to something which can be enjoyed by anyone. 

Haley, from Oi!, has created a bespoke flower design which features on the board and throughout the film. The energetic pace of the film is accompanied by a fittingly uplifting score produced by Tom Andrews. The encompassing theme of the film is one of kindness and joy. In between Tim’s twisting tricks he’s seen handing out flower bouquets to strangers in the street, prompting smiles all round.
