One True Pairing Throws Some Shapes in Wildly Choreographed Collage Promo
Friends Electric's Ewan Jones Morris has directed the latest music video for Tom Fleming, the former Wild Beasts songwriter, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist under the guise One True Pairing. ‘I’m Not Afraid’ is the second song from the self-titled album.
The video features One True Pairing dancing in an unselfconscious, tongue-in cheek manner, in a neutral space with layered collage images which match to his face, hands, feet and the remainder of his dancing self. We also see beautiful landscapes, textures and patterns cut through the silhouette of his body. The choreographed performance and combined animation perfectly showcases Ewan Jones Morris’ creative and unique style. It’s this highly imaginative style that results in his projects exuding eclecticism and originality. The video for One True Pairing’s ‘I’m Not Afraid’ is no different.
Ewan Jones Morris said: "Tom was keen to throw some shapes and I was keen to throw some pictures on those shapes. It was a bit of an experiment but it seems to have worked."
