Omnicom Group Names Dale A. Adams CEO...

ADD TO COLLECTION

of Diversified Agency Services. Thomas L. Harrison to continue as Chairman

Omnicom Group Names Dale A. Adams CEO...
Dale A. Adams, President of Omnicom Group Inc.’s Diversified Agency Services (DAS) division, has been appointed to the additional position of CEO at DAS, Omnicom President and CEO John Wren announced today.

In his new role, Adams, 53, succeeds Thomas L. Harrison, 64, who continues as Chairman.

Adams, President of DAS since 2008, began his career with Omnicom Group in 1991. Harrison and Adams have worked together to build DAS from a core group of agencies to the industry’s premier network of specialty and marketing communications companies through organic growth and more than 200 strategic acquisitions. DAS companies are widely acknowledged for their client service and work and for providing employees with a wide range of training and development programs.

In making the announcement, Wren noted, “Dale and Tom have expanded the DAS network through a combination of client growth and the successful, strategic acquisitions of entrepreneurial agencies. Dale’s vision is focused and relevant to our clients’ needs, and, like Tom, he understands the entrepreneurial mindset.”

Harrison began his career with Omnicom Group in 1992 when it acquired the Harrison & Star Business Group, which he co-founded. Shortly thereafter, he became President of DAS and in 1998 succeeded John Wren as Chairman and CEO of DAS.

“Dale and I have been more than just a good management partnership – we’ve been a team that has helped clients and Omnicom Group win in the marketplace. As Chairman, I look forward to working with Dale as we continue to build client value, growth and global success,” Harrison said.

Adams added, “Tom is a mentor and a great colleague and we are gratified by the strong growth in the companies that comprise DAS. It is a moment of extraordinary opportunity and I believe we will see clients place ever-growing emphasis on the services we deliver. We can best help them succeed by leveraging our highly engaged talent. Partnering with our clients, we can do anything.”
