Matt Farrington (pictured) has been appointed as communication and digital strategist leading BOQ, Q Super and Santos GNLG accounts, whilst Greg Radford has been promoted from within as general manager.
Farrington joins OMD Brisbane after heading up Yahoo!7’s Queensland operations as group sales manager. His eight years of industry experience includes working on the client and publisher side, brings OMD a high level of strategic expertise plus extensive experience in driving client results across the digital landscape.
Rob Swinton, managing director OMD Brisbane said: “Digital opportunities are growing across our client base and in order for OMD to provide expert digital advice we have invested in local talent. Matt's appointment will add greater depth to our digital skill set, which now represents over 50% of our office resource.”
OMD Brisbane also announced the promotion of Radford as general manager. He will provide operational support to Swinton as the Brisbane office experiences strong growth in 2015, including the appointment of CQ University. Radford has extensive search, digital and analytics experience, having previously worked for brands such as Flight Centre, and this background is invaluable to OMD’s digital capabilities.
Swinton added: “The digital journey for clients has never been more apparent and OMD are looking to attract the best local talent to support their clients.”
Both appointments are effective immediately.
