OMD Australia Promotes Melissa Hey to Head of Trading

Strengthening OMD’s position as the largest, and highest billing media agency in Australia (Recma, June 2015), Melissa Hey, previously head of screen trading at OMD, will provide comprehensive leadership across best-in-market investment strategy and value management for OMD clients.

“Mel is a formidable asset to have leading Australia’s largest team of media investment experts”, said Peter Horgan, CEO OMD Australia. “At OMD we commit to providing our clients with the very best trading and investment technology, processes, and people. Mel is a proven negotiator, with strong media relationships, and is highly regarded across the industry.”

Hey commented of her promotion: “This is the perfect time to be leading the trading team for OMD as the media landscape rapidly evolves across all technologies and platforms. OMD have placed an unparalleled focus on client-satisfaction and close, collaborative media partner relationships. I’m excited to be part of the OMG team, working with Tony to develop our trading vision.”

She will report into Peter Horgan from a brand perspective, and Omnicom Media Group Australia chief investment officer, Tony Harradine, for OMG deal management. Hey joins the OMD national executive team effective immediately.
