policies, programs and corporate culture that supports working moms, including
child care, flexible work arrangements, paid parental leave and advancement of
women. Companies are also measured on access to and usage of family friendly
programs. Ogilvy & Mather is the only advertising agency included in
the 2014 list.
“We've been aware of the prestige of the Working
Mothers list and are thrilled that as a result of our constant effort to
improve and update our policies, we have been named to this year’s list,” said
Donna Pedro, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer of Ogilvy & Mather
North America. “As a mom and a leader, I am especially proud that we are
recognized alongside some of our clients.”
Ogilvy & Mather North America offers mothers a
number of work/life balance policies including emergency childcare,
child-rearing leave, on-site lactation rooms, Working Parents Network, and a
flexible work policy – which gives employees a choice between flexible start/end
work hours each day or the ability to work from home one day per week.
John Seifert, Chairman/CEO of Ogilvy & Mather
North America commented, “Ogilvy & Mather strives to offer our employees
the best, offering a family-friendly environment that allows our people to be
the best parents they can be. We believe these work/life balance benefits
coupled with our new flexible work policy directly contribute to our employees’
creative thinking and award-winning work being produced each and every day.”
Jennifer Picone, Client Finance Director, Ogilvy
& Mather, is also nominated as a
“Working Mother of the Year,” representing all of Ogilvy & Mather North
America’s working mothers.
Ogilvy & Mather North America will host a party
to honor employees who are mothers, as well as offer a special tribute to

creative signage throughout the New York headquarters this week.
Carol Evans, president of Working Mother Media
said, “The Working Mother 100 Best Companies are the leaders in the advancement
of women by supporting their need to integrate family and work successfully. We
are thrilled to honor the U.S. companies that put words into action and build
family-friendly cultures on the foundation of thoughtful policies and effective
programs. Women now make up 50% of our workforce. We need to make sure
they have the support to be outstanding moms as well as great employees."
Jennifer Owens, editorial director of Working Mother Media noted, “In
its 29th year, the Working Mother 100 Best Companies are a
powerful reminder of how great companies can and do create supportive
workplaces for their employees. All employers would do well to follow their
lead if they want to attract and retain top talent.”
In honor of the 100 Best Companies, Working Mother has declared Tuesday, October 21st as
National Flex Day to increase awareness for the importance of workplace
flexibility. All companies are invited to participate by encouraging all
employees to use flex policies on this day.
