The joint venture will build a framework around production craft and innovation

Ogilvy UK and Hogarth announced today that they have appointed Natasha Wellesley as head of integrated production. One of the industry’s most respected production-focused leaders Wellesley brings an award-winning approach sitting at the intersection of advertising, branded entertainment and production.

Natasha has a wealth of multi-industry multi-disciplinary production experience from producing feature films, TV and commercials, both in London and LA, allowing her to champion and implement innovative production practices. Working for agencies including BBH and 180LA, overseeing broadcast, digital, experiential, radio, print and scalable content production, she developed brands including Adidas, Boost, Pepsi, Miller Lite and HP. Most recently, Natasha launched Ventureland a creative studio in 2018 to reimagine brand storytelling.

Reporting to Jules Chalkley, chief ECD, Ogilvy UK and Monica Taylor, UK MD, Hogarth, Wellesley will oversee the production teams in Hogarth and Ogilvy across their Advertising, PR and Influence, Consulting, Health and Experience divisions. She has been consistently listed as one of the top producers in the USA and UK by the industry trade press. In addition to her unparalleled production experience, Natasha has also participated in various industry forums and panels, including New Fronts, AICP Next Awards, San Diego Film Festival, Tribeca, and Sundance. In 2022 she was honoured within Creativepool’s Creative Leader of the Year and is a member of Women in Film.

“Natasha is best known for her attention to craft, leadership abilities and creativity. She is a unique talent and an unapologetic multi-disciplinary disruptor. Magic happens when we bring our diverse specialists together to solve a client problem, be they influencers, creators, behavioural scientists or PRs. She brings a unique perspective and wealth of experience in advertising and entertainment to the agency’s production offering. Having Natasha as part of that mix will be a potent addition to our creative front line as we prepare for 2024, a year of tent pole marketing moments for our clients.” said Jules Chalkley, chief ECD, Ogilvy UK.

“Natasha brings the ideal combination of experience, rigour and a strong can-do attitude fostered by her 15 years in LA. She has production in her blood, and we’re over the moon she chose to bring her own style of LA swagger to our agencies.” said Monica Taylor, UK MD, Hogarth.

"I’m excited to head up the integrated production department at Ogilvy UK and Hogarth. I grew up in the industry in the UK and spent fifteen years in the USA, on both the agency and production side in film, tv and commercials. In this ever-changing landscape, I believe creativity isn’t just about making things – it’s about shaping possibilities through storytelling and craft. My ambition is to build a modern, agile fully integrated team that is ready for the next trend or innovation whether that be in broadcast, social, experience, entertainment and everything else in between." said Natasha Wellesley.
