Ogilvy has named Kappie Kopp senior vice president of creative communications, a newly created role that reflects the agency’s ongoing investments in creativity. In this role, Kappie will work to further strengthen Ogilvy’s creative reputation through brand storytelling that showcases the agency's creative ideas and talent impacting business and culture. She will be a strategic partner to the agency’s creative leadership in North America and contribute to key global initiatives.

David Ford, global chief communications officer at Ogilvy, said: "Kappie is an enthusiastic storyteller who combines genuine passion with relentless drive. I know she will fervently advocate for Ogilvy's creative community and the impact their work has on our clients' businesses and on culture. I am ecstatic to welcome her to our team."

Kappie added: “Everywhere you look, you see Ogilvy and the indelible impact it’s making on culture, on our communities, and on the companies with which it partners. What a privilege to join this agency and collaborate alongside the bright, creatively ambitious teams leading its work. There’s no better place for storytelling to unfold, and I can’t wait to help Ogilvy share even more of itself with the world.”

For over 15 years, Kappie has obsessed over how communication can transform people's relationships with companies and culture. Her industry experience spans everything from higher education to energy and sustainability, with deep PR & Communications experience across such sectors as consumer brands, B2B, healthcare and MarTech. She previously oversaw communications for Leo Burnett, globally and in North America, collaborating with client account teams on earned media approaches for various campaigns and storytelling initiatives. Additionally, she led PR and thought leadership for several other Publicis Groupe agencies. Throughout her career she has demonstrated a passion for building cross-disciplinary, collaborative teams to further business ambitions, and is deeply committed to being a champion of diverse perspectives and a strong sense of community in everything she does.

Outside of work, Kappie loves spending time with her wife, son and three dogs. She's an avid runner, plays soccer every Sunday and will take any excuse to be outside. Reading novels and doing puzzles are among her favourite activities, and she's recently rediscovered the joy of Nintendo games.

Kappie joins as Ogilvy continues to be recognised for creative excellence globally. Last week at The One Show, Ogilvy was recognised as Network of the Year for the second consecutive year. Last month, Ogilvy was named Network of the Year at the Clio Awards, and in March earned the #1 ranking on WARC’s Creative 100 and Effective 100 lists. Ogilvy was also named to Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list for its effective use of AI to drive business results.
